What is your style of wedding photography?
i shoot a wide range of styles depending on the couples needs. Such styles include, artistic, formal, candid, set candid, contemporary, traditional and real time. This, i believe is one of the most important decisions you will make with your wedding photographer. I strongly recommend that you should feel confident that your photographer can deliver the style you are after.
How do we decide on a style?
I have various albums and framed prints at my shop/office with an array of styles for you to chose from. There you can tell me what you like and dislike, so i can then interpret a style that may not be as easily described in words.
When do we get to see our pictures?
Your proofs are ready for you to take home within 2 weeks of your wedding. If you can't wait that long i can have them for you within a week upon request.
Do we get proofs of all the pictures?
Yes, you will receive a print (6" x 4")of all of the pictures from your wedding day, presented in a proof album.
Do we get the Hi-Res digital files?
They are included with some of the packages, and are also available for $495 if you wish to buy them separately.
Do we get to choose what pictures go in the album?
Yes, you may choose every picture to go in the album or only a few favourites. Of course if this is too much hassle then i would be happy to do all or part of the selection for you.
Why do you use Photo Mounts and Albums albums?
Photo Mounts and Albums are widely regarded as Australia's finest album manufacturer. Quite simply, they are the finest quality product that i have come across.
How long will we have to wait for the finished album?
Normally between 5 - 6 weeks from when the order takes place to when you receive the finished product. But the time can change depending on how quickly you correspond with me and how many changes are made to the layout. Then you will need to approve the layout of the album before the album is sent for production. This takes about 4 weeks.
Do you have insurance?
Yes, I have both public liability and professional indemnity insurance.
Do you cover civil partnerships?
Yes, no problem.
What happens if you are ill?
I haven't missed a wedding since i started, which is over 400 weddings ago. But this is no guarantee that it won't happen. I work with other photographers shooting in a similar style and would do my utmost to get the wedding covered by a colleague.
What equipment do you use?
I use professional Nikon D3 digital SLR's. I normally work with two cameras all the time and have another for back up.
Can our friends see our pictures online?
As wedding guests come from all over the country and often from overseas, online viewing of images is ideal. Each wedding can be placed online at no charge to the couple.
Do you cover weddings nationwide?
Yes, i have traveled all over Australia photographing weddings, and i have no problem with it. Any travel over a 50 km's radius from Canberra is charged at 40c/km. Distances over 100 km's will require overnight accommodation at cost to the couple for the night of the wedding, unless flights are required as well. This is negotiable depending on individual circumstance, and would be negotiated between the couple and the photographer at their first consultation.
And outside Australia?
Travel expenses (including flights & two nights accommodation ) will be charged at cost. The basic cost for photography would be charged at one and a half times the standard price. How do we go about meeting you?
I usually meet the couple at my office /shop for an informal chat where there are various sample albums to view. However bookings can be made without meeting up if the distance is too far apart. Some evenings and weekend appointments are available.
How do we make a booking?
A initial payment of $70.00 is needed to secure the date. The balance is due only when you pick up your proofs after the wedding.
