The only albums we use in our packages are by album manufacturer Photo Mounts & Albums. They are a great company producing a fantastic product and this is why we use them. They are made to order and there is a huge choice of covers, mat colours, edges etc, so your album can be made up exactly to your own tastes.
This is ideal if you would like some control as to how your album layout looks and means you get a say into which images go into the layout. The album creation process is usually a little slower using this method as layouts have to be created and approved each time and so will only go into production once you have finalised everything.
The two standard size albums I use for the packages are 12x12 inch or 14x11 inch. There are three others which available as an upgrade - 15x12, 15x15 and 18x12 inch. There are smaller sizes also which are often used for parent albums. You can choose one of two looks for the album; firstly there is the more traditional look of matted albums. Here you have individual prints laid out on the page which are framed by either an overlay or page mount system. The second way is more of a magazine style where the whole printed page is bound into the album so it is flush mounted. Therefore there are no apertures, mats, edges or bindings on show.
